Rusk ISD annouces suspended classes due to COVID-19 concerns

Rusk ISD Superintendent Grey Burton has announced RISD has suspended classes for the week of March 16-20, amid growing concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic. Rusk campuses will be closed through Monday, March 23.
"I've had a call with TEA," Burton said, explaining the reasoning behind the decision.
He also said all the district's extracurricular activities including concerts, practices and UIL events, have also been canceled until further notice.
