Cherokee County Court at Law provides updates due to COVID-19

Cherokee County Court at Law has received an update from the Office of Court Administration today regarding the need to reduce the impact of the Novel Coronavirus on parties, jurors, the public, judges, and staff. In this regard the County Court at Law of Cherokee County has implemented the following during the COVID-19 Pandemic:

1. We will continue to hear and conduct all essential proceedings including, but not limited to CPS emergency removal hearings, temporary restraining orders / temporary injunctions, family violence protective orders, and certain mental health proceedings.

2. Large docket calls, and jury trials will be suspended to avoid the gatherings of large groups of people until at least April 1, 2020.

Following is a list of the dockets that are cancelled:

MARCH 17, 2020 ATTORNEY GENERAL DOCKET

MARCH 20, 2020 CPS DOCKET

MARCH 23, 2020 JURY SELECTION

Additionally, there will be no jail run dockets from now until April 1st.
