Kenny Callaway

Memorial services for Kenny Callaway, 68, of Alto, were held Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Alto Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of O.T. Allen Funeral Home in Alto. Brother Jim Bob Lindsey officiated. Kenny passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, in Alto. He was born Nov. 5, 1951, in Harlingen to Buck Callaway and Mary French Callaway. Kenny lived most of his life in Alto and had worked 40 years for Ned Thompson’s Cattle Company. Kenny was also a mechanic and had done steer roping in rodeoes as well as teaching roping and breaking horses. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Carolyn Callaway Collins. He is survived by wife, Robin Callaway of Alto; mother, Mary Allen of Houston; son, Shane Callaway (Tina) of Alto; daughter, Holly Grimes of Alto; brother, Jimmy Allen of Alto; sister, Vicki Lawson of Needville; and grandchildren, Devan, Micah, Hunter, Molly, Colton, Christopher, Justin, Peyton and Branton.
