RYSA football teams advance to district

They may not play under the Friday night lights, yet, but the love of the game and the passion to win is just as strong in these young athletes as it is in their older counterparts.

That passion to play has led to several Rusk Youth Sports Association football teams advancing to district play. Among the teams advancing are the Rusk Eagles Sophomores, Rusk Eagles Freshman and Rusk Eagle flag football.

The Freshman Eagles finished the season with a 6-2 record and are coached by Antonio Payola, Chuck Mosley, James Hill, Nate McGowan and Jamie McGowan.
