No injuries reported after Rusk home catches fire
Rusk firefighters continue watching for hot spots after extinguishing the fire that consumed a home in Rusk early Thursday morning.
Five puppies were the only loss of life after a Rusk residence caught on fire in the early morning hours of Thursday, Oct. 3.
Rusk Fire and Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the conflagration of the home, located on U.S. Highway 84 across the street from a local dollar store.
All three residents – along with several adult dogs -- were able to escape the home without injury, according to official incident reports.
Rusk Police Department assisted with traffic control.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
