Michael Brummett

Michael Brummett, age 18, of Maydelle, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019. He was born December 25, 2000 in Tyler.

Michael was a graduate of Rusk High School Class of 2019. He was musical gifted especially with playing the keyboard, guitar and the cajón. He worked for Pizza Hut in Rusk and loved his Chevy pickup truck. Michael was a hard worker and would do anything for anybody. He loved being Uncle Michael.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jacob Cannon.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Carl and Diana Brummett of Maydelle; brothers, James Butler of Frisco, Mark Butler of Kansas City, Joshua Brummett and wife Jessica of Mesquite, Jeremy Brummett and wife Crystal of Rusk, Jonathan Brummett and wife Marque of Rusk, Dustin Walker and wife Laramey of Jacksonville, Cody Brummett and wife Heather, Jay Sean Brummett and Ray Brummett both of Maydelle; and his sisters, Bonnie Wasson and husband James of Tyler, and Hannah Whittmore of Palestine. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Monday, August 5, 2019 and friends are cordially invited to visit with Michael’s family from 6 to 8 o’clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

A funeral service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Rusk. Bro. Daniel Wade and Bro. Brian Givens will officiate. He will be laid to rest at Still Waters Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

Pallbearers will be James Jenkins, Jeremy Brummett, Brian Cromer, Tracy Sessions, Cody Brummett, Jonathan Brummett, and John Kennedy.
