Rostene “Moonie” Green

Funeral services for Rostene “Moonie” Green, 82, of Alto, will be Tuesday, August 6, at 1 PM at the Weeping Mary Baptist Church near Alto. Burial will follow at the St. Thomas Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Green passed away Thursday, August 1st in Alto. She was born June 25, 1937 in Alto to Emory Parker and Ellie Lee Parker. She lived in Alto all her life and was a member of the Weeping Mary Baptist Church. She had worked as a homemaker and also worked for Dixon Poultry Farm, Texas Forest Service, Leisure Lodge Nursing Home as well as doing private sitting for the elderly. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James L. Green, 4 sisters Minnie L. Parker, Maedell Land, Amonia Henry and Tressie Brooks, 5 brothers Emory “Buddy” Parker, G.W. Parker, L.C. Parker, A.C. Skinner and John Parker, 1 granddaughter Nakeshia Green and 5 great grandchildren who died as infants. Mrs. Green is survived by children Rosie Mae Skinner of Alto, Peggy Green Kaiser of Alto, James Leverne Green of Alto, Paula Denise Ryans of Livingston, Pamala Denice Black of Alto and Willis Henry Green of Alto as well as 19 Grandchidren, 33 Great Grandchildren and 21 Great Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers are Derrick Richards, Steven Warren, Tedarius Black, Darren Thompson, Chris Warren and Robert Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers are Joshua Skinner, Jeremy Skinner, Joshua Skinner Jr., Tyrus Green, Tyran Green, Stancy Skinner, Kern Green, Cordell Green, Anfernee Green, Jadarrian Skinner, Jaydon Skinner and D’Anthony Richards
