Lola's House offers The Circle of Security Parenting Program

June 27, 2019

At times all parents feel lost or without a clue about what their child might need from them. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. The Circle of Security Parenting Program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.

Lola’s House, located at 209 E. Seventh St., in Rusk, is offering the parenting series beginning 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 9. Fee is $25 and discounts are offered for prepayment. This event satisfies most local court-ordered parenting class requirements.

Call Toni Dillard, (903) 363-2708 or email toni.lolashouse@gmail.com to register or for more information.

The Circle of Security Parenting Series is typically held in weekly sessions for eight weeks. This is an in-person training with a live instructor. Learning objectives of the training include:

- understanding a child’s emotional world by learning to read the emotional needs;

- supporting a child’s ability to successfully manage emotions;

- enhancing the development of a child’s self-esteem; and

- honoring a parent’s innate wisdom and desire for their child’s security.

Learn how to support your child’s feelings of security – which makes parenting more enjoyable. Learn how parenting situations can trigger big feelings in you and how to handle them. Learn to observe your child’s cues to understand what your child really needs from you.
