Louise Hudson

Funeral services for Louise Hudson, 101, of Alto, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 29, at the New Hope Baptist Church in Alto. The Rev. Burton will officiate.

Services are under the direction of O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home in Alto.

Mrs. Hudson passed away Wednesday, June 19, in Duncanville. She was born Oct. 25, 1917, in Alto to Ben Singletary and Daisy Thacker Singletary.

Mrs. Hudson lived all her life in Alto and was a homemaker. She had also worked at several local restaurants and the Indian Mound Nursery.

She was a long time member of the St. Thomas Chapel AME Church and had also been a member of the Eastern Star.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Cleophus Hudson; daughters, Ruth Castle and Alzata Hudson; son, Frank C. Hudson; three brothers; five sisters; and four grandchildren.

She is survived by son, Burley Hudson of DeSoto; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Alto.
