Lois Iver Walker Moseley

Lois Iver Walker Moseley, 76, passed into glory on Thursday, June 6, at her home in Earth, Texas. Lois was born in Rusk, on May 13, 1943, to Ira and Ozell Walker. She grew up in Rusk and graduated from Rusk High School. She had one daughter, Melissa Samarron.

She worked as an LVN at Rusk State Hospital and several other nursing homes for over 32 years. She moved to Earth, Texas, in 1993, after retiring from the Rusk State Hospital, where she continued to work at nursing homes in the surrounding area. She had a deep love for her family and enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She loved her Lord and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Rusk.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ira and Ozell Walker; brothers, William and Leland Walker; nephews, Glen and David Walker; and great nephew, Caleb Whiteley. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Samarron and her husband, Julio, of Earth; grandchildren, Samantha Perryman and her husband, Jeremiah, of Midwest City, Okla., and Jeremias, Ysabella and Sarah Samarron, all of Earth, Texas; sisters-in-law, Gloria and Judy Walker, both of Rusk; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was very loved by her family and the people who knew her and will never be forgotten. At this time, there will be no services per her request of donating herself to Texas Tech University for research and study.
