Billy Carroll Stewart

A funeral service for Billy Carroll Stewart, age 74, of Rusk is scheduled for 4:00 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bruce Richmen and Bro. Charles Nunnally officiating.

Mr. Stewart passed away June 12, 2019 in Rusk. He was born August 3, 1944 in Rusk to the late Charlie Dawson and Ruby Allen Littrel Stewart. Mr. Stewart was a lifelong resident of Rusk and a member of Adam’s Chapel Methodist Church. He was a retired truck driver and entrepreneur, loved gardening and nature and Blue Bell ice cream. He was a great “Pop.”

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jakie Charles Stewart. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Stewart of Rusk, two sons and daughters-in-law, Tracy and Cynthia Stewart of Rusk, Billy Stewart Jr. and Felicia of Jacksonville, TX, three daughters and sons-in-law, Ashley and Desman Wells Jr. of Rusk, Amy and Mark Walley of Rusk, Cindy and Jamie Slovacek of Jacksonville, brother, Harold Stewart of Troup, TX, sister, Evelyn Stewart of Rusk, thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will include Rodney Hudson, Vincent Lankford, Zachery Hudson, Adam Wick, James Brant Jr. and Desman Wells Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Conrade, Jerry Parker and Steve Miller. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. up until service time, Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the funeral home.
