CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic expands wound care access with specialist in Jacksonville

Every year, chronic, non-healing wounds caused by diabetes, infection, poor circulation or other health conditions affect the lives of 3-5 million Americans. CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic is fighting this by making its award-winning care available to more people with the addition of Melissa Springmeyer, M.D. in Jacksonville.

At CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Wound Care in Jacksonville, Dr. Springmeyer offers evaluation, consultation, debridement, and specialty dressing, including cellular and tissue-based products. Without the need for a doctor’s referral, patients can seek treatment for any chronic wound including diabetic ulcers, vascular ulcers, surgical wounds, pressure ulcers and burns.

Dr. Springmeyer has served patients of CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System as a wound care physician in Tyler since 2015. She graduated with honors from Southern Methodist University before attending Texas Tech for medical school and completing her residency at Baylor Family Medicine in Garland. She is board-certified in Family Medicine, Hyperbaric Medicine and Problem Wound Management, and is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, the American and Texas Medical Associations, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Smith County Medical Society.
