Jane Ann Acker

Funeral services for Jane Ann Acker, 70, of Rusk, will be 2 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2019, at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Fred Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Cemetery.

She passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019. She was born May 20, 1948, in Prairie Grove, Ark., to the late Curtis and Margaret Baker. After high school, she went to college for her Bachelor’s Degree and took further graduate courses to be a school teacher, which she did for 14 years. She left teaching to raise her children. She enjoyed flower gardening, taking care of her pets, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Carolyn Robinson. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Randy Acker of Rusk; son, Ross Acker and his wife Carolyn and their children, Zoey and Zander of Coos Bay, Ore.; daughter, Nancy Moore and her children Bryce, Charlie, and William of Spring; son, Seth Acker Sr., and his wife Amy and their children, Seth Jr. and Emily of Gladewater; as well as her extended family.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time, Friday, May 24, 2019, at the funeral home.
