Funeral Services for Kristi Gayle Emanuel, 63, of Rusk, will be 2 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2019, at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Gentry officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Rusk.

She passed away suddenly with her family present on Friday, May 17, 2019. She was born March 20, 1956, in Shreveport, La., to the late Johnny and BobbyJean Herrington. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Springhill, La. She attended Louisiana Tech, and went on to marry Milton “Mickey” Emanuel in 1983. She devoted her life to taking care and raising her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and crocheting blankets. She also enjoyed electronic games online as well.

She is survived by her husband; children, Lyle and Mary Emanuel of Springhill, La., and Kamran and Morgan Hassan of Rusk; grandchildren, Baylee, Katy, Graci, and Lillie Emanuel, Hadlee Lewis, Trevor, Gaige Cude; brothers, Donnie and Cody Herrington of Emerson, Ark., and Ricky and Sheri Herrington of Walker Creek, Ark.; and sister-in-law, Vanessa King of New Orleans, La.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Flowers, Charles Burnett, Thomas Jackson, Rodney Whittington, Forrest Hodges, and Keith Hodges.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Sunday, May 19, 2019, at the funeral home.
