May 16, 2019
According to Rusk city officials, the public pool may be fit to open on time for the 2019 summer swimming season.
"The city's Public Works Department has made emergency repairs to the city pool's filtration system and is currently testing the system to determine if it will withstand prolonged usage," City Manager Jim Dunaway said in a statement shared with the Cherokeean Herald on Thursday, May 16. "We will make a determination next week about when the pool will open for public usage."
