Hershel Sides

Graveside services for Hershel Sides, 60, of Rusk, will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Atoy Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Rankin and Bro. Mike Bradford officiating.

Mr. Sides passed away May 9, 2019. He was born November 28, 1958 in San Diego, California to Bevia Sides and the late Oland Sides. He was a member of the Cherokee Missionary Baptist Church in Rusk until he left to go work oil field gauging.

He is predeceased by his father and his sister, Sharlott Prince. He is survived by his mother, Bevia Sides of Rusk, daughters, Mindi Wallace of Rusk, Brandy Cole and her husband David of Marion, Louisiana, Meagan Sides of Wharton, grandson, Carson Wallace of Rusk, nephew, Adam Prince and his wife Loretta of Jacksonville, nieces, Amanda Prince and her husband Bubba of Cushing, Alicia Neal of Jacksonville, great nephews and nieces Tyrese, Di’Angelo, Niko, Isiah, Erica, Jada, Elyssa, Nolan as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Duane Thompson, Joel Thompson, Niko Prince, Isiah Mallard, Di’Angelo Blakemore, Craig Shuptrine, Mark Shuptrine, Brock Shuptrine. Honorary pallbearers are Carson Wallace, Howard Loden, Adam Prince, Ricky Shuptrine, Mike Gray, Clayton Ray, and DeWayne Wallace.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the funeral home.
