Funeral services for James Rayford Barron, 69, of the Primrose Community near Alto, will be Thursday, April 16, at 10 AM at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home with Pastor D.R. McNaughton oficiating. Mr. Barron passed away Monday, April 15th in Primrose. He was born September 26, 1949 in Jacksonville, Texas to Eugene And Dorothy Battison Barron. James lived most of his life in Primrose and had worked as a crew chief for TexDot for the last 18 years. He was a member of the Harbor Light Church in Lufkin. James was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Travis Barron and Ronnie Barron and sister Patricia Barron. James is survived by wife Georgia Ann Barron of Alto (Primrose), Daughters Johnita Sessions (Kyle) of Lindale, Vivian Pillows (James) of Forest, sons Paul Emmons (Vickie) of Nacogdoches, Justin Barron of Alto and Cody Barron (Shelley) of Dayton, grandchildren Heath Sessions, Lexi Dover, Hunter Knott, Trent Knott, Regan Pillows, Kyle Pillows, Halle Emmons, Chloe Emmons, Tomaya Barron, Justin Mott, Jeremy Mott and Elizabeth Martin, great grandchildren Levi, Caleb, Cy, Harlow, Kilee, Raelee, Sadie and Lindsey. TexDot employees Phillip Dew, Mark Hall, Jeff Curtis, Clint Corley, Cody Roach and Steven Tugwell will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 17, at the funeral home in Alto.
