Ernie Wolf

Funeral service for Ernie Wolf, 69, of Alto were held Sunday, April 14, at the O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home in Alto. The Rev. Keith Hassell officiated. Burial will follow in the Old Palestine Cemetery.

Mr. Wolf passed away Wednesday, April 10, in Tyler. He was born June 5, 1949, in Covington, Okla., to Fred Nelson Wolf and Geneva Mae Moore Wolf. He lived in Ft. Worth for many years and had lived in Alto for the last 36 years. Ernie owned and operated Ernie’s Body Shop in Rusk for 12 years and had worked at Pearman Motor Company in Alto for several years before that. Ernie was a Christian and had been a past Worshipful Master Mason at the Alto Masonic Lodge. Ernie loved music, playing guitar and singing and sharing his favorite music with others. He had also loved riding his Harley in years past and took great pride in his work and providing for his family. Ernie was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fred D. Wolf; and sister, Gloria Kay Mitchell. He is survived by wife, Millie Wolf of Alto; daughter, Jennifer Wolf of Ft. Worth; sons, James Wolf (Donna) of Rusk and Jason Wolf of Alto; brother, John Wolf Sr. of Paradise; grandchildren, Anthony James Conway, Adam Ray Gentry, Stephanie Gentry, Jennifer Jo Goodman and Savanah Few; and 11 great grandchildren.
