Dalton Frank “Dot” Herman

Funeral services for Dalton Frank “Dot” Herman, 20, of Wells will be Friday, April 12, at The River Church in Alto, Texas at 3 p.m. with Pastor Benny Boles officiating. Dalton passed away Monday in Wells. He was born January 28, 1999, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Kevin and Sandra Kay Edwards Herman. He had lived all his life in Wells and was Baptist. Dot was a 2017 graduate of Wells High School and had worked for Cherokee Services. Dot was a very compassionate person who loved his family with all his heart, looked up to his big brother and put others before himself. Dot love the outdoors; hunting, fishing and bringing home wild animals that he caught barehanded. You could find him any given night sitting by a good fire. Dot felt at home on the basketball court where he gave his family so much pride and joy as they watched him shine on the court, especially his dad who never missed a game. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Bobby Edwards and Billy Herman. Dot is survived by parents, Kevin and Sandra Herman of Wells; sister and brother in law, Amie and AcaRa Hartless of Pollok; brother and sister in law, Dylan and Taylor Herman of Wells; grandparents, Diann Edwards, Beverly and Leon Eden and Jannie Herman; and nieces, Layla and Mylie Herman, Marison Hartless, Braylee Herman and Lyla Edwards, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Dylan Herman, James Edwards, Jordan Minshew, Logan Smith, Landon Smith and Colton Herman. The family will receive visitors Thursday, April 11, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Alto.
