City provides support to local entities

In the Feb. 26 Rusk City Council meeting, council members voted to provide funds to four civic organizations through a 380 agreement.

The Tree of Promise received $10,000, the Cherokee Heritage Museum and the Cherokee Civic Theatre each received $2,000 and the Rusk Chamber of Commerce received $5,000.

Funds were presented to representatives each organization on Tuesday, March 26 by City Manager Jim Dunaway and City Secretary Rosalyn Brown.
