Cassie Faye Booth Holmes

Cassie Faye Booth Holmes, 99, left this Earth to be with her Lord on Saturday, Feb. 9, in Arlington.

Funeral services were held at First United Methodist Church in Arlington on Saturday, Feb. 16.

She was born in Craft to Thomas Trusvan and Allie Mae Williams Booth in 1919. She was the seventh of eight children, all deceased -- Grace Braly being one of her sisters.

Cassie sold Stanley Home Products for 62 years.

She was the last living granddaughter of the Rev. T.T. Booth, an East Texas Methodist circuit rider.

In 1935, she married Oswald Holmes.

They had two children, both deceased. In 1969, Oswald passed away and in 1976, she married Joe Holmes (brother to Oswald).

He passed away in 1995.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Mike and Marty Holmes and John and Jamie Green; six great-grandchildren; step-daughter and her husband, Marjorie and Billy Cloy; several nieces, nephews, a number of other close family; and a host of friends.
