Lavada Johnson

A funeral service for Lavada Johnson, age 90, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 2 o’clock in the afternoon Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. Pastor Kevin Gentry will officiate. Mrs. Johnson will be laid to rest at West Shady Grove Cemetery in Jacksonville.

She passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 in Tyler.

Lavada was born August 30, 1929 in Center, Texas to Henry and Eula (Works) Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Johnson; three sisters and four brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Mary Johnson of Tyler, Tony and Becky Johnson of Jacksonville and Scotty and Thresia Johnson of Maydelle. She is also survived nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin on Monday, February 18, 2019 and friends are cordially invited to visit with Lavada’s family from 6 to 8 o’clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
