New Summerfield ISD closing Jan. 31, Feb. 1 due to widespread illness

In a statement released on Wednesday, Jan 30 by New Summerfield ISD, classes are cancelled on Thursday, Jan. 31 and Friday, Feb. 1 due to widespread illness.

The release stated "Due to the high number of students absent with confirmed flu and other illnesses, New Summerfield ISD schools will be closed on Thursday and Friday. Classes will resume Monday, Feb. 4."

Parents/guardians were given the opportunity to pick students up early on Wednesday, Jan. 30.
