Notes| from the Fox Den

by By Josie Fox editor@thecherokeean.com

Hello and welcome to this issue of the Fox Den.

I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that we are already half way through the first month of 2019. I remember being a kid and hearing my father say that the older you get, the faster time flies by, and that definitely seems to be the case.

I saw a meme the other day that accurately summed up that sentiment. It read ‘In 2 years, 1990 will be 30 years ago. When I think 30 years ago, I think 1970.’ Surely I can’t be the only one that feels this way.

May 25 of this year will mark the 25th reunion for my high school graduating class, and I am still trying to figure out how we have been out of school that long. It seems as if just yesterday we were in elementary school and we thought 30 was old. And now here we are in our 40s, and some are grandparents. I like to think we are like a fine wine, we only get better with age.

In just a few short months I will celebrate my one year work-iversary here at the Cherokeean. I have really enjoyed interacting with our subscribers and attending the various events around the county. I have met some new, and very interesting residents in our area, who have had some amazing stories to tell. I am genuinely looking forward to what this next year has in store for me, both professionally and personally.
Mr. Fox and I have several adventures planned in the upcoming months that we are looking forward to and I am anxious to share those with you.

I hope 2019 is treating you all well so far. Until next time, I wish you all good health and happiness.
