Kenneth Wayne Breathouwer

Graveside services for Kenneth Wayne Breathouwer, 86, of Tyler were held Sunday, Dec. 30, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Joinerville, Texas. No visitation was scheduled. Mr. Brethouwer died Thursday, Dec. 27, in Tyler.

He was born March 6, 1932 in Tablerock, Nebraska to Lorn and Bersadus Leach Brethouwer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Bobbye Brethouwer; and siblings Don Brethouwer, Lorn Brethouwer, Harold Brethouwer, and Dorothy Brethouwer.

He was a teacher for 25 years and was a lifetime member of the Texas State Teachers Association. He was also a member of Texas Classroom Teachers and served with Meals on Wheels.

He is survived by step sons James Rix, and Andy Rix; step daughter Suzanne Andrews; step grandchildren Bill Rix, John (Van) Sheridan, and Stephen (Yette) Sheridan; and three great grandchildren.
