On Saturday, Nov. 3, the historic Cherokee Civic Theatre will host magician Grant Freeman as part of their Raise the Roof series. Grant is set to perform two shows, a matinee at 2 p.m. and an evening performance at 7:30 p.m.

Freeman, one of the most compelling entertainers of his generation, provides audiences with a unique show, filled with mind-bending magic and sidesplitting comedy. His magical feats, storytelling and wonder create a show that is perfect for the entire family.

Grant strives to create modern performances that propel the ancient art of conjuring into the new millennium. When asked how he got into magic, Freeman said he began learning magic from local professional magicians in the seventh grade and he was able to meet and learn from some of the best and most experienced magicians in the world.

Freeman quickly became a well-known name among magicians as a rising performer. It wasn’t long before he was booking TV appearances and a wide variety of performances. Grant continues to create strong material packed with stunning magic and comedy for the audience of today.

Tickets for the event can be purchased online at www.cherokeetheatre.net or by calling the box office at (903) 683-2131. General admission tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for students.
