Robert Hale

Funeral services for Robert “David” Hale, age 74, of Rusk will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 at the First Apostolic Church of Dialville with Rev. Paul Gates officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Robert Hale was born September 15, 1944, in Jacksonville, Texas to John A. Hale, Sr. and Mary Lockhart Hale. He was a lifelong resident of Cherokee County. He was a cement finisher, hunter and fisherman and loved to spend time with his family.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.

He was survived by his wife of 57 years, Marie Ann Harris Hale of Rusk, two sons, Cory and Nicky Hale of Rusk, six daughters and their spouses, Mary and J.R Shirley of Jacksonville, Gloria and Ralph Tillman of Katy, TX, Teresa and Kenny Tant of Gallatin, Sheila and Brian Mason of Rusk, Donna and Ricky Rogers of Rusk and Dottie and Jeff Buckholt of Rusk, numerous grand-children and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Larry Woods, David Woods, Chris Woods, Kenny Tank, J. R. Shirley, Ralph Tillman, Paul Wayne Hale and Phillip Walding. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Beaman, Tommie Hale-Beaman, Tommie Tant, David Tant, Ashley Johnson, Tammy Trantham, Elainia Williams, Bryce Grimes (Tant), and Brayden Grimes (Tant).

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
