The fight against breast cancer is getting dirty this weekend.

River Run ATV Park presents its annual Muddin’ for a Cure event, to observe national Breast Cancer Awareness month. The fun kicks off at 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 and lasts through 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 at the River Run ATV park, 2001 CR 3315, Jacksonville. Tickets are $55 at the gate.

“Approximately two inches of rain were received last week so the park is in great riding conditions right now,” officials with the park posted on its social media page on Wednesday, Oct. 3. And looking at the forecast hopefully we will receive more rain before the event next week!!”

The 2018 Muddin’ for a Cure event features a treasure hunt, a silent auction, a CMR race, best in light contest, live concerts by Colt Ford and special guests Twang and Round, and as always, more than 2,000 acres of muddy, cruddy fun.

“River Run has several mud pits for people that like to take it to the extreme,” the park’s website states. “Many people enjoy riding their ATV, 4 x 4 trucks, horses, and other off-road vehicles. This park offers many fun activities for the entire family such as, extreme mud riding, dry trail riding, mud pits, and scenic views of the Neches River and mountain area of Big Rock.”

The park also provides a free wash bay area and three separate shower houses; RV sites with power and water hookups; cabins for rent; camping areas; and a new addition, the Rocks Pit Stop convenience store, which provides essentials like ATV/SxS parts, Coca-Cola products, Proline Waders by ProSport Outdoors, River Run apparel and much more.
