Dorothy Daniels Obituary

Dorothy Roxie Daniels, born Nov, 17, 1921 to Geremay and LeOla (Mosby) Corley in Garrison, Texas, passed away on Sept. 29, 2018, in Livingston, Texas at the age of 96 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynell Meyer, Sandy Edelen and husband Ernest; grandchildren, Shannon Harris and husband Kendall, Brandy Colvin and husband Jeremy, Tawny Fries and husband Louis, Tasha Beaver and husband Tom, Nicholas Meyer and wife Heather, Lindsey Campbell and husband Lance; 15 great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Daniels; parents, Geremay and LeOla Corley; son, Michael Daniels; son-in-law, Carl R. Meyer; daughter, Carolyn Daniels Lieber; sisters, Frances Duckworth, Lynn Barrett and Edwana Corley; and brother, LaVon “Buster” Corley.

She was a good wife, great teacher, the most wonderful mother and beloved grandmother.

A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 5, 2018 at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Rusk, Texas at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
