Theresa Franklin

A funeral service for Theresa Bowman Franklin, age 58, of Rusk is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the Wallace-Thompson Chapel with Rev. Don Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery.

Ms. Franklin passed away August 26, 2018 in a Tyler hospital. She was born January 27, 1960 in Rusk. Ms. Franklin was a lifelong resident of Rusk and worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Prescription Pharmacy for several years. She was known for her love for children and her kind and caring nature. She also loved Dr. Pepper.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Franklin, mother, Ida Bowman and step-mother, Inez Bowman. She is survived by her father, J.H. “Slick” Bowman of Jacksonville, two daughters, Tiffany Loden of Georgia, Valery McLemore and husband Heath of Mississippi, seven grandchildren including Jessica, Dalton, Clayton, Bradlee, Landon, Tesslyn and Minnie Kay, siblings, Mary and Tommy McElroy, Christine and Kenneth Gardner, Vanessa and Norman Lewis, Zelma and Dwon Anizan, Joe and Kimberly Bowman, Laurie Pryor and Joey Bowman, six step-brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will include Josh McElroy, Adam McElroy, Eric Lewis, Ben Pryor, Chase Gardner and Joseph Anizan. Honorary pallbearers will be Riley Bowman and Emily Bracewell. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the funeral home.
