Beverly Counahan

A graveside service for Beverley Counahan, age 86, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 10 o’clock in the morning Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville.

She passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Jacksonville.

Beverley was born July 4, 1932 in Sale Victoria, Australia.

For 25 years, she worked as a Unit Secretary for East Texas Medical Center-Jacksonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Daryl and Robert Archibald; sister, Shirley Rogan and a granddaughter, Kayla Wood.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Graeme Counahan and wife Leonie of Sale, Australia, David Counahan and wife Shirley of Jacksonville; Peter Counahan and wife Karen of Rusk; daughters, Dianne Flint of Queensland, Australia, Sandra Work, Judy Wood and husband Charles, all of Jacksonville. She is also survived by a brother, Peter Archibald of Victoria, Austrailia; 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeremy Counahan, Josh Counahan, Cory Counahan, Kenneth Counahan, Anthony Counahan, Chris Work, Gregg Work, Dustin Wood, Landon Wood, Logan Wood and Brett Nichols.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 and friends are cordially invited to visit with Beverley’s family from 6 to 8 o’clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
