Thelma Lee Whitehead

Graveside services for Thelma Lee Whitehead, 92, of Rusk, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, July 19, at Sacul Cemetery, under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with Bro. Don Copeland officiating.

Mrs. Whitehead passed away July 15. She was born August 24, 1925 in Cushing to the late Alvin and Samantha Whitaker.

She was a member of Memorial Missionary Baptist Church and was known for her cooking. She loved spending time with her family and going places.

She is survived by her brother, Rex Whitaker of Nacogdoches, as well as a wonderful extended family made up of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Allen Whitaker, Eddie Whitaker, Cody Johnson, Abed Abuhatab, Bubba Abuhatab, and Bryce Stemm.

Honorary pallbearer is Larry Jason Nevil.
