Janice Tropp

A celebration of life gathering for family and friends for Janice Tropp, 66, of Rusk, will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, June 22, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Rusk.

Ms. Tropp was born March 7, 1952 in Sherman, Texas to the late William and Billie Lea. She has been a life-long Baptist and was a member at First Baptist Church. She was famous for her generosity and her affection for taking care of other people. She also never missed an opportunity to share her love for The Lord. Most knew her as “Momma.”

She leaves behind her beloved dog Tiki and she joins Abby her precious dachshund.

She is survived by her daughter Tonya Tropp of Rusk, her fiancé Cody Smith and his daughter Maddie of Bullard, brother and sister-in-law Bob and Barbara Lea of Prosper, sister Granny Bear Baker of Jacksonville, as well as several nieces and nephews.
