Harold E. “Corkey” Huffman
Memorial service for Harold E. “Corkey” Huffman, 73 of Palestine, will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Henderson and Bro. Bill Rodgers officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Palestine.
Mr. Huffman passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Palestine Regional Medical Center. He was born July 6, 1944 in Palestine, to George Eugene Huffman and Dessie McGraw Huffman. He was a retired conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad, a member of Swanson Hill Community Church and Masonic Lodge #31. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Army. He loved hunting and fishing.
Mr. Huffman was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law; Amanda and Jeff Aaron of Palestine, and Rachel and Thomas Thompson of Maydelle, grandchildren; Emily and RJ Wilson, Andrew Lehman, Molly Beth White, Ben Thompson, Dylan Thompson, and Wes Thompson, great granddaughter; Ellie Wilson, and lifetime best friend, Larry LeGard.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry LeGard, Phil Owens, James Harrell, Sr., James Harrell, Jr., Donnie Craft, Claire Pat Weeks, and Buddy Brede.
Condolence calls will be received one hour prior to service at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers family request memorials be made to Swanson Hill Community Church, 3258 E. FM 323, Palestine, Texas 75801.
