CCT’s 2017-18 season concludes with blazing guns

Welcome to the Roaring Gulch Hotel, the setting for Cherokee Civic Theatre’s melodramatic season finale. Applaud, boo, hiss and cheer on the characters as they scheme, plot and fight for law and order.

Shubert Fendrich, author of Blazing Guns at Roaring Gulch or The Perfumed Badge, was founder of Pioneer Drama Service,Inc., writing over 20 plays before his death in 1989.

The cast, pictured from left to right, includes Corey Folmnsbee as Snipe Vermin; Emily Pierce as Dora; John Earle as Harry Heartson; Jordan Langford(seated) as Bill Filbert; Joyce Melton as Flora; John Ervin as Col. Crabtree; Frances Green (seated) as Martha Muldoon; Ryan Glaze as Barney; Amy McCalister as Sheriff Willie Lovelace and Josie Fox as Widow Black.

Opening night will be Saturday, May with curtains going up at 7:30 p.m. Additional show dates are May 6, May 11 and May 12. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday performance will begin at 2 p.m.

Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased in person at the box office located at 157 West Fifth Street, Rusk. Tickets can also be purchased by calling (903) 683-2131 or online at www.cherokeetheatre.net.

Advance ticket prices for non-members are $10 for students and $13 for adults. Tickets at the door are just $15.
