Local contingent advocates for Rusk State Hospital

A local contingent of Rusk leaders joined Sen. Robert Nichols and Rep. Travis Clardy Thursday morning to speak to leaders with the state Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to advocate for funding for new construction at Rusk State Hospital. From left are Bobby Garmon of Citizens 1st Bank, Rusk Mayor Angela Raiborn, Department of State Health Services Deputy Commissioner Mike Maples, Sen. Nichols, University of Texas System Chief Medical Officer and Associate Vice-Chancellor Dr. David Lakey, Citizens 1st Bank-Rusk president Charles Hassell, Rep. Clardy and HHSC Deputy Commissioner Stephenie Muth.
