TSR rejects operator offer from Iowa Pacific

At their recent meeting April 26, the Texas State Railroad Authority voted to reject an offer from Iowa Pacific Holdings that would leave Iowa Pacific as the operator of the Texas State Railroad. The current contract with Iowa Pacific ends May 4. The TSRA entered into negotiations with The Western Group of Ogden, Utah, in late March and boardmembers say negotiations with The Western Group are “very close.”
