A ribbon cutting was held for Home Place Inn located at 1607 E. Rusk St., Jacksonville. Owner Mike Bhakta has invested $200,000 remodeling the motel since taking over in 2014. The most recent facelift is the exterior painting of the facility. In the 1980s, this motel was a full-service hotel and continues to welcome visitors to the area.
