Party headquarters open

Cherokee County Democrats gather at noon Sept. 4 to officially open the county party headquarters at 402 College Ave. in Jacksonville. "We are enthusiastic about our entire Democratic ticket, their experience and East Texas values" said Caesar A. Roy, County Democratic chair. The deadline for registering to vote is Oct. 6, and early voting is Oct. 21-31.
