Cherokee County Health Department, AgriLife Extension and HOPE worked together Feb. 12 to educate women on breast and cervical cancer. From left are Pam Davis of Cherokee County Health Department, Louraiseal McDonald of AgriLife Extension and Shirley Reese of HOPE. Each month the Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening (BCCS) program of Cherokee County Health Department will hold a special clinic for women. Pap smears and clinical breast exams will be provided for free or at a reduced cost for women aged 18-64 years. Mammograms will be available for those 50 and older. Educational presentations such as self-breast exams and free give-aways will be provided at these clinics.
