Students from Tammy Rasberry's second grade class at Rusk Elementary School display their art from the recent Hurricane Ike. Mrs. Rasberry thought it would be beneficial for the children to be able to talk about their experiences after missing school two days due to the damage caused by Ike. Each child created a picture and wrote a story to go with it. They shared experiences with the rest of the class and everyone was very eager to talk about the big event. After the discussion children watched a film about different types of storms and learned what to do in case of weather emergencies.
