Cherokee County Relay for Life volunteers show off their award for excellence in fundraising received at the Relay University Oct. 25 at Angelina College. Sixteen members of the local relay committee attended the event. A total of $2.33 was raised for each person in Cherokee County. This is the first time the county relay team has been recognized. The local committee is still recruiting volunteers for the 2009 Relay Committee. There are still several committee positions open.
