A grand prize saddle for youths 16 and older was won by 17-year-old Brandi Baldwin of Montalba at the first play day sponsored by the Branded by Christ Church Oct. 18. The youth winner of a silver buckle was nine-yearold Savanna Thomas of Elkhart. Events included pole bending race, barrel race, apple bob race, potato race, rescue race and egg in spoon race. Thirty youths from age six and up participated in the event. The church is located on State Highway 110 north of Rusk.
