Raven Gipson and Jermichael Thacker announce their engagement. They will be married at 3 p.m. June 27 at the People's Church in Jacksonville. They were engaged Oct. 11, 2008, in Houston. Following their wedding they will reside in Houston where she is an elementary school teacher and he serves as a safety representative for a chemical plant. Miss Gipson is the daughter of Lonnie and Kathy Gipson of Jacksonville. Mr. Thacker is the son of Michael Thacker and Kay Lofton of Alto.
