l Jim Britton of Britton Motors in Rusk receives the newly issued seven-digit plates from LeAnn Blake, tax department deputy clerk. TxDOT said the state population increases approximately 1,000 people every day. It took 33 years to exhaust the six-character combination numbers.Using the current population growth figures, it is expected the seven-character pattern will last approximately 35 years.
