School's in! Students on 'hand' to open new Alto Elementary

k Each member of Alto Elementary School's student body became a part of history last Monday, placing their hands in cement to secure their legacy as the first group of classes to learn in the new building. The dedication ceremony included speeches by Sen. Robert Nichols (R-Jacksonville), Steve McCarty and school board president Freddy Johnson. The ceremony coincided with the first day of school and also included tours for the public.
