Rusk Chamber of Commerce leaders presented the Rusk Business of the Month award to the Cherokee Civic Theatre on March 22. Chamber board members accepted the award. The theatre's board members, actors and volunteers were recognized for their hard work and dedication to this community. The theater is located at 157 W. 5th Street in Rusk and started holding performances in 1975 at the current location. Each year the Cherokee Civic Theatre presents at least four theatrical productions.
