A convoy of emergency vehicles heads down "Hospital Hill" in Rusk toward Beaumont last week for a mock hurricane drill. The event started in Arlington before making its way through Smith and Cherokee Counties on U.S. Highway 69 S. Several types of emergency vehicles, including a large mobile command center, were part of the convoy. There were three convoys total. A Cherokee County DPS officer, Steven Crosby, took part in the drill.
