Jan's Toyland Back, a five-month old miniature High-Dex heifer helped kick off the Summer Reading Program June 8 at the Singletary Memorial Library in Rusk. The heifer is reading a book held by Jan Townsend. The reading program is held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and is open to all from Pre-K through the 12th grade.
