The Rusk Lady Eagles 15 and under junior girls softball team won the state title last week in Mildred after finishing tournament play undefeated. They defeated Mildred in the tournament final, 13-2 in five innings. Team members are Cheyenne Phillips, Amy Holcomb, Kaitlyn Sprayberry, Kara Hugghins, Kimberly Langston, Gabby Willis, Taylor Sitton, Chelsie Daniels, Jaclynn Dyess, Sydney Littlejohn, Kylie Delaney, Kelsey Blankinship and Juliann Bowling. The Lady Eagles are coached by Trey Bowling, David Blankinship and Jason Wylie.
